love...love...love...

first things first...HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! now, feel priviledged because you see, i am not a big celebrator of the v-day festivities...and i am sure you assume "oh julia...don't be bitter...don't be one of those people who sees it as a day without a love." DON'T WORRY PEOPLE! that is not at all my thought...my thought however is...i think that if you love someone, you should make a point to daily let them know or to at least make sure they know period. i think that out of love then you do great things for these people...well so why are we boxing this love into one day? think of how great this world would be if we just all loved the way we do on this one day...pretty amazing thought huh? well another reason is that i don't think that the big v-day was ever really focused on too heavily when i was growing up...now don't get me wrong...we knew it was v-day..we did valentines but my parents were very consistent in displaying their love and affection and thankfulness for us year round...their love was not boxed into this one day...so there...i think that we should all just step outside the norm and love everyday! what a beautiful thing...
so...to celebrate the love fest this year, i took care of myself on this cloudy day...i did have to work...but then i had lunch with a friend, came home and vegged out for a minute or two, cleaned the apt, watched a movie, went to target, and am not home vegging out again...it was a beautiful thing loving on myself and letting myself relax today! some of you say BOOOORRRING...i say FANTASTIC!
so...to celebrate the love fest on my blog, i'll do a few things...first, i'll give you a hug...so go ahead...open your arms...wrap them around yourself and squeeze! hahaha now i just hugged you!
ok now i am gonna share with you 10 things i LOVE...
1-my family
2-spending time with good friends
3-having really good talks...you know those deep conversations that make you feel like you have really learned something from the other person
4-acoustic music
5-hot tamales...the candy, not the mexican roll up thing...
6-rainy days
7-singing really loud in my car
8-when people play with my hair
9-cartoons
10-walking barefoot in the grass
and 10 places i LOVE...
1-my parent's house...and my brothers house (its the house i grew up in)...i love them both for very different reasons...my parent's house is so comfortable/so filled with happiness and just home...my brother's house has so many old memories...
2-the alpha gamma delta house at south...every time i walk in there, it brings back such joy and reminders of so many memories...oh if those walls could talk...hahaha
3-colorado...especially denver
4-the beach at night
5-the mountains
6-riding any back roads in the country
7-in open fields with my cousins on our four wheelers...hahaha yes i am still a country girl at heart
8-coffee houses...but i HATE coffee...just love the atmosphere
9-libraries or book stores
10-the swimming pool
so...there you go...more info than you ever wanted to know about me...but hey...its a love fest. might as well share our loves...
and i leave you with these thoughts...i am very blessed...very thankful for i have always known i am loved unconditionally and eternally. i have an amazing family who displays their love for each other openly and often. more importantly, i have a God who loves me always...even when i am acting unloveable or feel unloveable. He loves me. So, i am blessed...i have never doubted that love exists...and i hope you don't doubt that either...so hug your friends, kiss your significant others, tell someone you love them...but most importantly know you are loved...not only by me but also by your Heavenly Daddy...He loves to love on you and to lavish you with His love!
oh and p.s....if you have tried to comment, i really don't know what is going on but i have asked for help and have done all they have told me...i am hoping this problem gets fixed so if i haven't responded to any of your comments, that is why. a few of you have told me that you have commented and i apologize...i haven't gotten any of them. i am so thankful for all of you and want to recognize all of you in your faitfulness to follow my craziness! so, thank you...and
